Rules for shooting .22 in IDPA

at ORSA

It must be understood from the beginning that this is a non-IDPA sanctioned category and no scores or ratings will be reported to, or recognized by IDPA. This is a club level category only.

All IDPA Rules will apply except as noted below.

Pistols do not have to fit in the test box. However all other rules apply. Notch and post sights only, no porting, no added weights, etc….. two 10 round mags min.

Although a holster must be used to carry the pistol around, shooters will start from the low ready position, unless the CoF specifies the gun to be staged in some manner. For this reason concealment is not required and holsters do not have to meet the holster requirements.

When shooting steel, the S.O. will yell, "Hit" when the shooter hits steel and "Miss" when the shooter misses steel. The S.O.s’ call is final. At the shooter’s request, the S.O. can indicate only misses if that is the shooter’s desire.

Each CoF will be shot and scored as designed with the following exceptions. If the CoF involves a steel activated target and it is determined that a high hit with a .22 will not activate the target, the target will either be staged so that it is always visible, OR, the target will be ignored for both scoring and shooting purposes. This will be determined before the match begins and will be the same for all .22 competitors. The cost is $5.00 for ORSA members and $10.00 for non members
